I have been involved with the Students' Union since my second year at Surrey, and it has been one of the most rewarding parts of my university experience. While studying Financial Mathematics, I started as the Treasurer of Team Surrey Netball before becoming Campaigns Manager and Team Surrey Chair in my final year. These roles inspired me to run for Vice President Activity, as they showed me the impact that student leaders can have in creating an inclusive and engaging university experience.
The Students' Union has given me so much throughout my time at Surrey, from lifelong friendships to invaluable opportunities for personal and professional development. My key priorities include introducing handover templates for committee members, celebrating student achievements through Club and Society of the Month awards, and recognising the hard work of club and society signatories through LinkedIn endorsements.
I am also passionate about increasing participation and ensuring all students feel represented. I hope to lead initiatives such as the This Girl Can campaign while continuing the fantastic work of the Black Sport Collective. I am excited to support Surrey students, work alongside the other Vice Presidents and President, and give back to the community that has given me so much.
